GRIM REAPER WILDIFE ATTRACTANT is also an INDUSTRY LEADER. TEXASBOARS and IN HEAT SCENTS DISCOVERED IT, FIELD TESTED IT, and now MARKET IT. You won't find it anywhere else! Again we were the first and still the best. GRIM REAPER SCENT is a unique wildlife attractant that wild boar are drawn to. Its not only great for wild boar it also works great for BEAR and all DEER species. One application can last for weeks and hogs WILL return to it. Its not a bait and it is not a food. It is an OIL BASED SCENT that is pleasant and non irritating that will stay where you put it rain or no rain.
One thing about hunting scents, everybody always thinks they're gimmicks and tricks. I do not disagree, many are! I work in this industry and know the dirty little secrets on many hunting products. The truth is they aren't really made to work, they are made to advertise, look good, sound good, and make INVESTORS MONEY! This is not a gimmick, it's no trick, and it absolutely is no scam. Its not cheap kool-aid, grape powder, or a cheap brew of store bought FOOD BASED junk. Thats not what TEXASBOARS is about! Quit messin around with FANCY LABELS that catch your eye and rarely work. Leave the JUNK and lets get down to some real hog hunting. I KNOW HOGS, I've shot hundreds and trapped hundreds more and a big portion of them of them were trophy boar and ALL OF THEM WERE 100% FREE ROAM! TEXASBOARS is not about keepin secrets.

My reputation is based on providing "REAL" "HOW TO" hands on information and providing the tools for you to SUCCEED. These scents won't work miracles, OK, I aint claimin MIRACLES and I won't feed you a line of crap like some INFO-commercial! They must be used properly and with COMMON SINCE and some basic hunting or trapping knowledge! Unfortunately most of that knowledge is gained over a lifetime and I simply can't provide a great deal of it on one page.
The KNOWLEDGE BASE IS FROM TEXASBOARS.COM the FORUMS and ARTICLES or filled with lifetimes of knowledge!
If you want to know the basics of HOW TO USE THESE TWO APEX SCENTS which is what this site is all about, here it is:
THE PRIME EXAMPLE OF A TROPHY BOAR SET UP This is the BASICS of how its done on private property here in TX where hunting hogs is legal 24 hours a day and most all means are legal. This spot is located in deep East TX on private property with a good population of wild boar.
Its located next to a soggy wide hard-wood bottom on PAPER MILL LAND used for commercial pine operations. Hurricane RITA has blown down many of the hardwoods and now those blown down tops litter the bottom. Hogs love them for bedding sites. In this particular spot several huge hardwoods blew down and blocked several wildlife trails which rerouted them. It made a natural squeeze point by forcing those animals traveling those trails up out of the cover and squeezed them into ONE TRAIL or an INTERSECTION. We took advantage of it. Large tracks were obvious and a good indication that trophy boar were present and traveling in this area. Downed tree tops were a good clue that bedding areas were plentiful.
TOOLS USED FOR THE SET UP include an AUTOMATED CORN FEEDER, PIG PIPE with SCENT RAGS INSIDE, HOG IN HEAT, GRIM REAPER WILDIFE ATTRACTANT, small hand built leaning wood tree stand, and a TEXASBOARS FEEDERLIGHT 2-WATT RED for night time hunting. The hogs in this property are hunted and purely nocturnal. ALL OF THE PAER COMPONEY PROPERTY is leased hunting land, ALL OF IT! These hogs know the game and know how to survive!

get the job completed the first time in
clear up everything in the way and out from under the feeder and make sure that when its time to hunt nothing has to be done but walk in and walk out
|
We carried in everything. We did not set up by a road are access trail. THIS is HARD CORE not the EASY WAY OUT. At the same time we did NOT violate the hogs bedding areas by going TO DEEP. We did our scouting, followed the edges, found the squeeze point near the good cover but not DEEP in the cover. It does no good to set up deep in the cover. You must draw the animals to you where you, the hunter has the advantage, but you can't try to draw them TOO FAR away from the cover. The set up must offer the wild boar comfortable surroundings. For example, we could've moved out 300 yards to more open area with an easy access vehicle trail. Thats not COMFORT to an animal trying to survive!
When you start putting your set up together leave things as natural as possible but at the same time CLEAR UP, SET UP, FINISH UP, COVER UP, and then CLEAR YOURSELF OUT!
Start by evaluating the set up area, know what tree your stand will lean against and account for the prevailing winds if possible. Figure out where, exactly the feeder will hang MAKING SURE it is ON or right next to the trail. Use an axe, limb trimmer, and weed cutter to CLEAR the view from the stand to the FEEDER and BAIT. Clear out the area from under the feeder and set it all up. When you're finished you MUST COVER UP your scent. Using GRIM REAPER WILDLIFE ATTRACTANT and HOG IN HEAT will cover your scent, attract hogs, and provide a comfort scent. CLEAR OUT and don't make regular visits, no matter how compelling it may be to come check. STAY AWAY, don't play around on your lease, do not target shoot, do not ride 4 wheelers or drive any where near these set ups. Thats not comfort to an animal that fears humans! Thats not how to maintain a successful set up!
create comfort zones for hogs at your set up that cover your scent. the #1 choice is GRIM REAPER SCENT. This tree trunk was saturated with it one time. three weeks later the tree is rubbed smooth and still active |
GRIM REAPER WILDLIFE ATTRACTANT IS A KEY SCENT!
GRIM REAPER SCENT was used at this set up to cover up and KEEP ON covering up. The illustrations point out where GRIM REAPER SCENT was used. A tree about the size of a persons leg was chosen at the set up in clear view. The base of the tree up to about 2 feet was completely saturated with GRIM REAPER SCENT. The hogs started rubbing and they continue to rub each time they visit. By doing this it OCCUPIES THEM and gets them comfortable with the set up allowing them to spend more time at the set up. In doing so they leave their scent and that scent builds creating all kinds of comfort and competitive scents of their own that covers your presence and continues to draw more hogs!
GRIM REAPER SCENT was also used to saturate a scent rag and placed in the pig pipe. More on PIG PIPES, SHOT PALCEMENT, and all can found in the TEXASBOARS KNOWLEDGE BASE.
 hog rubbing GRIM REAPER |
HOG IN HEAT was also a critical scent in covering our scent, attracting wild boar, and providing a comfort scent. It gets them in, makes them feel comfortable, and provides the scent that indicates sow are also visiting the area. HOG IN HEAT ALONG WITH GRIM REAPER will make a difference!
The HOG IN HEAT was and is poured on the corn in the FEEDER as well as the PIG PIPE. When the feeder throws it distributes the scent. Hogs love to eat it! GRIM REAPER can also be used to pour on the corn in feeders!

 TEXASBOARS FEEDERLIGHT |
On private property in TEXAS, as I mentioned earlier, it's legal to hunt at night. SO, last but not least, you'll likely need to hunt the big boar at night. When the hunting pressure is on they tend to go strictly nocturnal. The TEXASBOARS FEEDER LIGHT sets the highest standard by assembling the most powerful and reliable feeder lights or hog hunting lights on the market today.
